What it checks

<audio autoplay> and <video autoplay> without the muted attribute.

Why it matters

Sound that starts on its own drowns out screen readers and startles visitors (WCAG 1.4.2).

Recommended fix

Add muted to autoplaying videos, or let the visitor start playback.

How to verify

Load the page with sound on and confirm nothing plays audio by itself.
