Terms of service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or at least 16 in the EU, EEA and UK, to create an account. You must confirm your email address before you first sign in.

Acceptable use

• Only scan websites, and upload code, that you own or are authorised to test.
• Do not upload code you are not allowed to share with a service provider. Uploaded archives are scanned in memory and never stored.
• Do not use Defexity to attack, overload or probe systems, or to get around our rate limits.
• Do not attempt to access other users’ reports, accounts or data.

What the service is, and is not

Defexity identifies potential security, reliability, privacy, accessibility, SEO and performance risks using automated checks. Results can include false positives and will not catch every issue. Defexity is not a penetration test, a code audit or legal advice, and it does not guarantee compliance with any law or standard. AI-generated fix prompts are suggestions: review changes before you deploy them.

Accounts

Keep your credentials and API keys secure, consider two-factor authentication, and tell us about any unauthorised use. We may lock an account temporarily after repeated failed sign-ins and may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Plans, billing and cancellation

The free plan costs nothing. Paid plans, when available, are billed monthly or yearly through our merchant of record and can be cancelled at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. First payments can be refunded in full within 14 days; the refund policy has the details.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
