PRV-001

No privacy policy link

HighDefault severity · Privacy / Legal · Legal, privacy and consent

Last reviewed

What it checks

A link to a privacy policy on the page.

Why it matters

Collecting emails, analytics or payments without a privacy notice is a potential compliance risk in most markets and erodes trust.

Recommended fix

Publish a privacy policy that matches what you actually collect and link it from the footer and every form.

How to verify

Confirm the footer link opens the privacy page on desktop and mobile.

Example fix prompt

Generic prompt (your report adds the evidence)
Please fix this production issue in my app.

Issue PRV-001: No privacy policy link
Site: https://your-app.example

First confirm the issue in the code or live config. If it is not present, say so and change nothing.
Task: Add a /privacy page describing what personal data the app collects, why, which third parties receive it, how long it is kept and how users can request deletion, and link it from the site footer and next to every signup or contact form. Mark the text as a draft for legal review.

Constraints: make the smallest change that fixes this, keep the current design and behaviour, never paste secret values into code or chat, and tell me which files you changed.
Done when: Confirm the footer link opens the privacy page on desktop and mobile.
