PRV-011

Images hotlinked from stock or image-search hosts

LowDefault severity · Privacy / Legal · Legal, privacy and consent

Last reviewed

What it checks

Image URLs pointing at stock-photo preview hosts, Google image thumbnails or Pinterest.

Why it matters

These are usually unlicensed previews, which is a copyright risk, and the host can remove or watermark them at any time.

Recommended fix

Replace them with licensed or original images hosted on your own domain.

How to verify

Confirm no image on the page loads from the hosts listed in the evidence.

Example fix prompt

Generic prompt (your report adds the evidence)
Please fix this production issue in my app.

Issue PRV-011: Images hotlinked from stock or image-search hosts
Site: https://your-app.example

First confirm the issue in the code or live config. If it is not present, say so and change nothing.
Task: Replace each image in the evidence with a licensed or original image saved into the project (for example public/images), served from our own domain with descriptive alt text and an optimized format such as WebP.

Constraints: make the smallest change that fixes this, keep the current design and behaviour, never paste secret values into code or chat, and tell me which files you changed.
Done when: Confirm no image on the page loads from the hosts listed in the evidence.
