How to monitor signup, login and checkout after every deploy
Last updated
Pick the three to five flows that make you money or let people in, usually signup, login, checkout and your main feature. Run a scripted browser check of each on a schedule and after every deploy, using a dedicated test account and payment test mode, and alert yourself the moment one fails.
Why flows break without anyone noticing
When an AI agent changes one feature it can quietly rewrite a webhook, an auth callback or a form handler elsewhere. Nothing errors in the editor, and you find out when signups or payments stop.
Setting it up
- List the flows that matter: signup, login, password reset, checkout, the core action of your app, and any AI chat.
- Create a dedicated test account and, for payments, use your provider’s test mode on a staging site or a test product.
- Script each flow as a short series of steps: open the page, fill the form, submit, and check for the success state.
- Run each check every 5 to 15 minutes and after every production deploy.
- Send alerts to email, Slack or Discord, and fix forward or roll back when one fails.
- After a fix, rerun the failed check and only close the incident when it passes.
Questions
- Does Defexity do this?
- Yes, on paid plans: monitored flows with signup, login, checkout and AI chat templates, deploy-triggered checks, alerts, and a fix prompt when a flow fails.
